In the follow-up to 1982's groundbreaking Tron, newcomer Garrett Hedlund plays the tech-savvy youth who finds himself fighting for his life in the digitised, gladiatorial world that entrapped his father (Jeff Bridges) 20 years before. Disney reboots the franchise with remarkable results in a superb sequel that ticks all the fanboy boxes while delivering an epic adventure with broad blockbuster appeal. Jurassic Park III

    Available until 15 Mar 2018

After two box office monsters from Steven Spielberg, director Joe 'Honey I Shrunk The Kids' Johnston takes the reins for the third trip to the island where dinosaurs rule and visitors are... dinner. It's a breathless ride, with Sam Neill's archaeologist Alan Grant returning to help a divorced couple (William H Macy and Tea Leoni) find their son, who's gone missing near the abandoned tropical theme park. Moving faster than a velociraptor on roller skates, the adventure sees the hapless humans facing prehistoric perils at every turn. Ptera-fyingly good fun.

  • Ghostbusters
    Ghostbusters

    Available until 31 Jul 2017

Who ya gonna call for the best-loved blockbuster of the 80s? That would be Drs Venkman, Stantz and Spengler - aka Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis - a trio of New York university parapsychologists who go into business as ghost exterminators. And just in the nick of time, as a portal to another dimension has opened in Sigourney Weaver's fridge, leaving the city under siege from an onslaught of demons, phantoms, and other ghouls... including a 50-storey StayPuft Marshmallow man! It's an ectoplasmic riot.

  • Jurassic Park
    Jurassic Park

    Available until 15 Mar 2018

Breaking - and shaking - new ground with its monster special effects, Steven Spielberg's box office colossus brings Michael Crichton's bestseller to breathtakingly convincing life. Richard Attenborough is the well-meaning billionaire who unveils an island theme park full of cloned dinosaurs to his two grandchildren and three disbelieving scientists (Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum). Which is all wonderful until a power cut sets the meat-eaters free...

  • E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial
    E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

    Available until 31 Dec 2016

Steven Spielberg's sci-fi masterpiece follows the plight of a cute alien accidentally stranded 3,000,000 light years from home on Earth. The creature, confused and alone, is befriended by 10-year-old Elliott (Henry Thomas), who introduces the creature to his siblings... as well as the delights of TV, M&Ms and beer. However, real life threatens to overshadow the new-found friendship in the form of NASA scientists keen to get their hands on the visitor. Timeless and touching, this is one of Spielberg's crowning glories.
