About the movie
Upbeat comedy starring Kevin Kline as smalltown high school teacher Howard, who's outed as gay by a former pupil-turned-film star (Matt Dillon) at the Academy Awards. It wouldn't matter so much but Howard is happily engaged to Emily (Joan Cusack)... and TV reporter Tom Selleck suspects he might be in denial. The actual Oscar statuette used in the film is the one Kline won for A Fish Called Wanda.
