Family Affair: Part 1: The Mayor is accused of paying a call girl, and Mike sets out to prove it false. However, Winston's alibi is more troubling - he was with Mike's visiting mother (Meredith Baxter) at the time. A panicky security guard shoots Paul by mistake. (S2, E09)

The Marrying Men: Paul decides to propose to Claudia. Laurie returns in hopes of restarting her relationship with Mike, and a ring mix-up leads her to believe Mike is going to propose. (S2, E17)

One Wedding and a Funeral: Mike announces that he and Laurie are engaged, with Randall as best man. Paul gets cold feet about asking Claudia to marry him. (S2, E18)

A River Runs Through Me: Mike makes the staff undergo mandatory drug tests, before accidentally taking drugs himself. The Mayor breaks a Native American artifact before it can be donated to a museum. (S2, E19)

The Pope of Gracie Mansion: The Pope's visit to New York City inspires Randall to mix politics with religion, and Mike feels guilty for his sinful ways in City Hall. (S2, E20)

Bye, Bye, Birdie: A raucous episode sees the male and female staffers play pranks against each other at Paul and Claudia's bachelor/bachelorette parties. An offensive statue turns up on display in City Hall. (S2, E21)

The Lady or the Tiger: Mike's clingy girlfriend Kaari is a magician who doesn't take kindly to his rejection. Stuart and Carter open a gay bar. (S2, E22)

Single White Male: Financial troubles cause Stuart and Carter to become roommates. Animal lover James objects when Paul brings his cat to kill a rat in Mike's office. (S2, E23)
