After dealing with the fallout from Johnny's altered will, the Mróz family becomes the focus of an investigation when the headless body is identified.

While Maciek looks ahead, Paweł continues his bid for mayor, and Hanka struggles to keep her business afloat. Later, Ola faces scrutiny.

Four years earlier. After leveling with Hanka and Paweł about his will, a terminally ill Johnny tries to find common ground with an aloof Maciek -- but finds his youngest son holds secrets of his own. Later, Hanka turns to an unlikely source for help.

While Paweł prepares to contest his father's will, Maciek makes moves to cash in on his daughter's inheritance, leaving Hanka to choose between loyalty to her older brother or the survival of her business.

Paweł racks up a victory in court, leading to further animosity between the siblings -- and peril for Maciek. Later, Hanka and Kocur uncover evidence that could hold the answers to lingering questions.

After learning of an ugly truth, Hanka confronts the secrets plaguing her family. When Kocur's investigation uncovers a long-buried secret, the siblings must quickly work to prevent everything from falling apart.
