Adjusting your audio settings

If you&#39;ve got <a href="https://www.nowtv.com/gb/help/article/what-are-boost-and-ultra-boost" target="_blank">Boost or Ultra Boost</a>, a supported device and a soundbar or surround sound system, you&#39;re all set to enjoy Dolby Digital 5.1 or Dolby Atmos sound quality. The NOW app will automatically default to streaming with the highest audio quality your device is capable of, but you may need to adjust the audio settings on the device you&#39;re watching on to switch to surround sound or Dolby Atmos.
<h2>NOW Box or Smart Stick</h2>
To select surround sound:
<ul><li>From your Box or Stick homepage, scroll down to the bottom and select Settings, then Audio.</li><li>The Audio Mode should be set to Auto and HDMI set to Dolby D+.</li></ul>
To select stereo:
<ul><li>From your Box or Stick homepage, scroll down to the bottom and select Settings, then Audio.</li><li>The Audio Mode should be set to Stereo and HDMI set to PCM-Stereo.</li></ul>
<h2> Other devices</h2>
Select the appropriate audio output in your device settings. You&#39;ll usually find this by looking for Sound, Audio or similar in the Settings menu. Check with your device manufacturer if you&#39;re not sure where to find your audio settings, or if you&#39;re unsure which option to select. 
 Good to know: Got a TalkTalk TV 4K box powered by Netgem TV? You won&#39;t be able to adjust the audio settings. Surround sound is automatically applied, where available.
