In this sci-fi romance, engineer Jim Preston (Chris Pratt) finds himself erroneously awoken early from his hibernation pod on the corporate starship Avalon as it ploughs through space with 5,000 settlers on board in suspended animation. He realises that the journey has ninety years left so - after months alone - makes the decision to wake up fellow passenger Aurora Lane (Jennifer Lawrence). They fall for each other...but she is unaware of Jim's morally questionable actions.
