Hi,, how can we help today?

Connecting a PC or Mac to your Wi-Fi network

To connect to your NOW Broadband network, you'll need a hub and a Wi-Fi-enabled device.

Got a NOW Broadband Hub? First you’ll need to unpack and set up your Hub.

Once you've set up your hub, select your operating system and follow the steps below.

Windows 7

Step 1: Find Wi-Fi networks

Select the Wi-Fi icon in the system tray (towards the bottom-right corner of your screen, near your taskbar clock) to see available Wi-Fi networks.

Step 2: Select your Wi-Fi network

Your Wi-Fi network should appear in the list. You'll find the name of your Wi-Fi network on the back or bottom of your NOW Hub and on the Connect card that came with your Hub.

Select your network name and then Connect.

If your network name isn’t listed, select the Refresh network icon.

Step 3: Connect with your Wi-Fi password or WPS button

Connecting with your Wi-Fi password

You can find your Wi-Fi password on the back or bottom of your NOW Hub, and also on the Connect card that came with your Hub.

Make sure you always enter your password in capital letters. The password doesn’t contain any numbers.

You might be asked for your Wi-Fi PIN instead of the password – this is also printed on the back or bottom of your NOW Hub and on your Connect Card.

After you’ve entered your password or Wi-Fi PIN, select OK.

Connecting using your WPS button

Press and hold the WPS button on your hub until the wireless or WPS icon flashes amber.

If there's a successful connection, the icon will go either solid white or green, and you’re ready to go online.

Step 4: Select a location for the network

Once your computer has detected your Wi-Fi network, select a location for your network:

  • Home network – for your home, or with only people and devices you fully trust.
  • Work network – for your workplace.
  • Public network – for a public place like an airport, pub or coffee shop.

Step 5: Check your network’s set up correctly

Open a browser window on your computer and visit any website to check you’re connected to the network.

If you can't access a website, go through these steps again and double check you've entered everything correctly. Make sure you've entered your Wi-Fi password exactly as it's written on your Connect card or hub.
