Reset your NOW Box or Smart Stick

You can fix many issues by performing a hard or factory reset of your NOW Box or Smart Stick. This will return the device to its default factory settings.

We also recommend you do this for security reasons if you've used your Box or Smart Stick and you then want to pass it on to a friend, or sell it.

You can do a hard reset in your device settings, or using the button or hole on your device.

Keep in mind: You'll need to set up your device again after doing a factory reset.

Reset your device via the Settings menu

To carry out a factory reset on your Box or Smart Stick: 

Step 1: 

Using your NOW remote, go to Settings, then select System. 

Step 2: 

Select Advanced system settings, and then Factory reset. 

Step 3: 

Enter the 4-digit code shown using the onscreen keypad.

Or do a physical reset

I've got a NOW Smart Box or Smart Stick

You'll find the reset button on the side of your Smart Stick. (On a Smart Box with 4K and Voice Search, the button’s on the bottom).

• If you just want to restart your device, press the button once. 
• For a factory reset, hold the button down for about 6 seconds.

Press a pin in the RESET hole and hold down for 30 seconds.
