Download shows, movies or sports to watch offline
Got an iOS or Android device? You can download most on-demand shows and movies to watch again later when you’re offline, whether on the go or relaxing on holiday.
Some sports events and shows are also available to download and replay.
Just look for the download icon on the programme info screen, or next to the episode you want to download.
How long can I watch my downloads for?
After you download a show, movie or sports event, it'll be saved for 30 days, or until it expires and is no longer available on NOW – whichever is sooner.
When a profile has downloaded a title to a device, it becomes available in the Downloads section and visible to the other profiles on that device (including kids' profiles, but only if the content is age-appropriate).
Once you've started watching, you can watch as many times as you like for 48 hours before the end of the 30 days and your download is deleted.
Keep in mind: Your downloads will be deleted if you sign out of your NOW account on your device.

What can I download?
Most on-demand shows and movies, as well as some sports events and shows, are available to download.
If a show or movie is available to download, you’ll see the download icon in the top right corner of the programme info screen, or next to each episode in the episode list.
Why are some shows and movies not available to download?
Is the episode or movie you want to download greyed out, or there's no download icon?
This might be because rights restrictions mean we can't offer downloads for all our on-demand shows and movies at the moment. However, we’re working hard behind the scenes to make more and more available for download in the future.
How do I download shows, movies or sports and watch them later?
Downloading shows or movies
Just tap the download icon on the info screen for the show, movie or sports event you want to download, or next to the episode you want to download in the episode list.
You can queue as many downloads as you like, but each show or movie will download one at a time.
To see your downloads and start watching, go to the Downloads area.
Downloading Kids episodes
Hit the download icon on the programme info screen to switch to download view.
Then just tap a show episode or movie to start downloading it.
To see your downloads and start watching, just tap the downloads icon on your Kids home screen.
How many times can I watch a download?
You can watch each download as many times as you like for 48 hours after you start watching. You'll need to finish watching within 30 days of downloading.
Once 30 days is up, your download will be deleted. After your download’s been deleted, you can download the same episode or movie up to 5 more times for another 30-day period.
How many times can I download a show, movie or sports event?
You can download each show episode, movie or sports event six times.
Each time you download you get 30 days to watch. You can watch as many times as you like for 48 hours after you start watching before your download gets deleted at the end of your 30 days.
Why can't I download a particular show or movie?
Can’t see the download icon on the show or movie you want to download? Is the episode you want to download greyed out, or are you seeing a notification when you try to download it? This might be because:
- You've downloaded it the maximum number of times.
- The show or movie is already in your Downloads because you've downloaded it in the last 30 days on the same device.
- You've reached the storage limit on your device.
- The maturity rating for that title doesn't align with the rating you've set for your profile.
- We don't have the rights to offer downloads for this particular show or movie. While we’re working hard behind the scenes to make more and more of our on-demand shows and movies available for download in the future, we don't have rights to offer downloads for all of them right now.
What devices can I download and watch downloads on?
You can download on all supported iOS and Android devices.
You can only watch your downloads on the device you downloaded them on. You won’t be able to transfer your downloads onto any other devices.
How do downloads work with profile settings?
You'll only be able to download content that aligns with the maturity rating you've set for your profile.
Viewing will be blocked for anyone trying to watch content that exceeds the maturity rating for their profile.
Is there a limit to how much I can download?
The amount of content you can download at once depends on the data storage of your smartphone or tablet. There’s no other limit – you can download as much as you want, but you can only download each episode, movie or sports event six times.
