Hi,, how can we help today?
Set up your black NOW Box
Our step-by-step guide will have you watching brilliant entertainment on your NOW Box in no time.
Check you've got all of this before you start:
You should have the following:
- Remote control
- 2 x AAA batteries
- NOW Box
- HDMI cable
- Power supply unit with mains plug.
You’ll also need:
- A broadband connection
- A TV with an HDMI port
- A smartphone or computer at the ready.
Step 1:
First, use the HDMI cable provided to connect your NOW Box to your television.
Step 2:
Next, connect the power adaptor to the NOW Box. Plug it into a socket and the box will switch itself on.
Step 3:
Get your remote ready. Just pop in the batteries that we supplied. You’ll need to use the remote control to finish setting up your Box.
Step 4:
Almost there. You’ll need to connect to an internet network before you can start streaming.
Using your TV remote, go to your main menu and switch to the HDMI input or source option.
Step 5:
Making sure you have your Wi-Fi username and password ready (if needed), follow the onscreen instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
Or, if it's positioned close enough, you could hook your NOW Box up to a router or modem instead using an Ethernet cable for a wired connection. (This could help avoid any problems with buffering if you have a slow Wi-Fi connection.)
Step 6:
Scroll down to read the terms and conditions, then hit Accept.
Now grab your smartphone or computer and follow the instructions on your TV screen to sign in to your NOW account, or create an account if you're new to NOW.
Wait a few moments while your apps update, then open the NOW app and away you go!
