About the series

The Last of Us is set in 2023, twenty years into a parasitic fungal pandemic that has ravaged humanity, turning most of the humans into zombies. The series has been widely praised for its production values, and outstanding performances from its lead actors: Pedro Pascal as tough but tormented Joel, and Bella Ramsey as Ellie – the immune child who represents a hope for a better future. Joel must escort Ellie safely through the post-apocalyptic wasteland to the rebel Fireflies in the hope that her immunity could be used to create a vaccine.

In 2003, a parasitic fungal infection ravaged the planet, turning humans into violent creatures known as the Infected. Twenty years later, hardened survivor Joel (Pedro Pascal) is hired to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie (Bella Ramsey) to the rebel Fireflies.

All of Season 1 of The Last of Us is available to stream now. Episode 1 of Season 2 airs on 14 April 2025, with one episode a week becoming available to stream after that.
