Barney's World, The Good Apology

When David is frustrated to be called home early to help with his baby sister, Barney creates a magical game where David is reminded how good it feels to help others. He leaves the park excited to help out as a big brother.

When a day of fun with Nonna prompts Vivie to realize Nonna's declining mobility, Nonna and Barney help Vivie discover how she can care for Nonna by making simple adjustments that allow them to keep having fun in a slightly different way.

When David insists on copying everything Liam does, Barney takes the kids on a trip to the Castle. They help Billy use his unique traits as a knight, leading David to the realization that it's important to be your unique self.

When Mel is in a pessimistic funk, Barney takes the kids on a trip to the Enchanted Forest to help an optimistic fairy with an injured wing. Mel learns how to adopt an optimistic mindset to overcome adversity and help the fairy.

Baby Bop keeps having meltdowns during a game with the kids, making it hard for everyone to play together. Barney steps in to figure out what is causing Baby Bop's upsets and helps her manage them so everyone can continue to have fun.

Vivie is disappointed that the park’s Splash Pad is closed. Barney creates a trip to the Castle and Mel is confused when Vivie isn't having fun doing all the things Mel is doing. Mel realizes that it's okay to have different interests.

When David ruins Vivie's big surprise, Barney helps David work on thinking before acting with a game of Jungle Hide- and-Seek. David realizes that controlling excitable impulses is challenging, but possible!

When Mel doesn't want to stop making a funny sound, Barney and the kids go on an adventure to the Pirate Desert Island to meet a clingy hermit crab named Hermie. Hermie helps Mel realize that there's a proper time and a place for certain behaviors.

Vivie gets angry when David accidentally takes her winning turn in a playground game. Barney helps Vivie process her anger, so she can work through it and keep playing with her friends.

Nonna's chronic ankle injury puts her annual Pizza Extravaganza at risk of not happening. Vivie discovers that with the help and care of their community, she and Nonna will be able to manage anything!

Mel loses her confidence in skateboarding after a fall. Barney takes the kids on a trip on a high-seas adventure, where a stormy sea presents challenges that help Mel discover what she needs to feel safe trying new things again.

When David worries about how much trash is created by their lunch, Barney makes a game of Reducing, Reusing and Recycling. After making cleaning up fun, Barney inspires the whole community to contribute and care as much as the kids do.

Mel doesn't quite understand the value of a sincere apology after nearly damaging David's special toy. A big mishap from Billy and Baby Bop makes her understand the value of saying you're sorry, and meaning it.
