Barnaby Walker, played by comic Jack Whitehall, lives a stereotypically calm and peaceful middle-class life in the leafy suburbs of Wimbledon as he studies for a PhD in Flemish textiles. When his antique-dealing father ends up in hospital after a peculiar accident, Barnaby must try to save his family's business. However, he must immediately work out how to recover £50,000 from a dodgy deal, as well as shift some looted Syrian treasure. In order to do this, he gets help from Nina Morales, a bounty hunter from Brooklyn who met his sister while travelling. The unlikely duo embark on an adventure that brings them into collision with the police, terrorists, and some dangerous shadowy characters.
