- Capt. Edmund Blackadder (played yet again by Rowan Atkinson) is dodging bullets in the trenches during World War I in this incarnation of the `Blackadder' series. Blackadder is aided in his attempts to stay alive by his batman, Private Baldrick, and the idealistic Lieutenant George, as they wait for a planned `big push' against the Germans on the Western Front.
