Gumball: Best of Penny, The Mess

Gumball and Tobias compete for Penny's affection by putting on the lamest duel in history.

While performing a school play, Gumball is so nervous about kissing Penny that he accidentally headbutts her and cracks open her shell. They discover that under Penny's shell is an emotional shape-shifting inner self. Penny's father is determined for Penny to keep it hidden but Gumball encourages her to show the world who, or what, she really is.

When Darwin and Gumball reveal how they'd spend their perfect day, Gumball confesses that he would spend it with Penny. Darwin gets jealous and sets out to dig some dirt on Penny, hoping it will split them up. Meanwhile Gumball is planning to step his and Penny's relationship up a notch, by proposing marriage!

In order to prove to Mr. Fitzgerald he's good enough for Penny Gumball becomes his apprentice for the day. But his enthusiastic attempts to help him might do more harm than good.

After Gumball convinces himself that Penny doesn't love him as much as she used to he decides to put together a romantic quest to remind her of all the good times they've had together. But Gumball's romantic gesture backfires landing Penny -- and maybe their relationship -- in serious peril.

Gumball has misunderstood about his date with Penny. He thought they were meeting for dinner but they were actually meeting for lunch at a Diner called Dinner. He runs to the mall but everyone he meets on the way seems to misunderstand him in a different way. Once he finally does get to the mall it seems all his misunderstandings have caught up with him.

Penny's family is unhappy that she's decided to come out of her shell… literally. And Penny wants her family to come out of their shells...also literally. They are at an impasse so who do they turn to in their time of trouble? Gumball of course! Needless to say he is way outside of his comfort zone...

The boys manage to lose Polly in the blink of an eye.

Gumball vows to wear a shell and partake in strange Fitzgerald traditions, in order to help Penny get through a tense family birthday party with ease.
