What's the difference between Entertainment and Entertainment & HBO Max Memberships?

Entertainment Membership: this brings you all the biggest returning hit series from HBO - such as upcoming seasons of Euphoria and House of The Dragon - alongside unmissable Sky Originals and Exclusive US shows.  

Entertainment & HBO Max Membership: NOW includes HBO Max Basic with Ads. Watch every HBO Max series, from iconic hits like Game of Thrones to brand-new must-see, The Pitt, alongside unmissable Exclusive shows, like Heated Rivalry.

How much do I pay?

Entertainment plans start from €3.99 a month for a 6-month minimum term and Entertainment & HBO Max plans start from €7.99 a month from a 6-month minimum term. Looking for more flexibility? You can get an Entertainment Membership for €5.99 a month or an Entertainment & HBO Max Membership from €9.99 a month that you can cancel at any time.

If you're on a minimum-term plan and you ask to cancel during your minimum term, your cancellation will only take effect when your plan ends.

Do I get movies too?

With an Entertainment Membership you can only watch TV shows. To watch movies, you can either get a separate Cinema Membership, or you can watch movies and shows together with our Cinema & Entertainment bundles. There’s also a selection of brilliant movies on our Entertainment & HBO Max Membership.

Can I watch shows without ads?

Yes. If you prefer to watch without ads, you can upgrade your viewing experience on NOW with either Boost or Ultra Boost, which lets you stream on-demand shows ad-free*.

What channels do I get?

You get Sky Atlantic, Sky One, Sky Witness, Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky History, Sky Nature, Sky Crime, Sky Arts, Sky Sci-Fi, Gold, MTV, Comedy Central, Alibi and Sky Kids.

You also get on-demand shows from all of these channels, which means you can watch the TV you love when you want.

And for the little ones, there are 7 live kids' channels: Sky Kids, plus Boomerang, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Cartoonito, Nick Jr and Nicktoons. On-demand shows are available for all these channels except Cartoonito. And you get box sets from Milkshake!, CBeebies and CBBC too.

Do I need a box or a stick to watch?

No. All you need to watch instantly is:

What are Boost and Ultra Boost?

Boost and Ultra Boost are add-ons that enhance your streaming experience on NOW, which you can upgrade to when you buy an Entertainment, Entertainment & HBO Max, Cinema, Sports Month Membership or Sports Extra Month Membership.

With Boost, you can stream ad-free* , in Full HD** (1080p), with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio and on 2 devices at once. If you want to enhance your experience even further, the Ultra-Boost add-on allows you to stream ad-free*, in 4K Ultra HD** with Dolby Atmos surround sound and on 3 devices at once.

Can I download shows to watch offline?

If you've got an Apple or Android smartphone or tablet, you can download selected shows to your device and watch them anywhere.

Each show can be downloaded twice and will be saved on your device for up to 30 days. Once you start watching, you've got 48 hours during which you can watch it as many times as you like. Find out more about downloading shows.
