After returning home from college to begin her life, a young woman vanishes into thin air. As detectives investigate, they uncover evidence of a brutal crime, revealing a suspect with connections to a previous case.

Detectives conduct an intense interrogation. Hadden's admissions take a toll on Jesus. The Clark family history of brutality and childhood abuse comes to light, as well as Hadden's brother Bradfield's office romance, which takes a shocking turn.

Jesus' crime comes to light. Investigators work with Jesus to pull more information out of Hadden, leading them to other potential crimes, including the unsolved murder of yet another young girl. Hadden reveals his surprising partner in crime.

Detectives take Hadden and Jesus on road trips to hunt for bodies and clues, hoping to keep Hadden in jail for good. News of Jesus' fate surfaces. Hadden taunts investigators with the breadth of his cold cases.
