Ted Turner's early years are marked by his complicated relationship with his father—whose business Ted takes over in the wake of the elder Turner's suicide. While expanding into radio and TV, Ted throws himself into his greatest love: sailing.
Episode 2In the 1970s, Ted buys the Atlanta Braves, launches a SuperStation, sails to an America's Cup triumph, and plans a 24-hour news network: CNN.
Episode 3As the 1980s begin, Ted launches CNN. His desire for world peace prompts him to meet with Fidel Castro and later create the Goodwill Games.
