Gang War: Pusher Street, The Gangs Arrive

In August 2023, Pusher Street turns into a war zone when members of the 'Loyal to Familia' gang open fire in the densely packed area, killing one, and injuring four others.

In the early '90s, Pusher Street experiences a period of relative harmony, even seeing an emergence of activism, and hip-hop culture. But when a new police squad cracks down on the market, local Christianites fight back by whatever means necessary.

After a violent incident in 1993, Pusher Street sees a peaceful coexistence between Christianites, and local drug dealers. Then, in 2001, Anders Fogh Rasmussen is voted into power, and sets his sights on stripping Christiania of its Freetown designation.

While tensions continue to escalate between the police and Christianites, the emergence of street gangs brings about new levels of violence. Then, the merciless death of a 30-year-old rocks Pusher Street --, and sees the end of Bjarne Christensen's reign.

After a raid results in the arrest of over 80 individuals, a new crop of young -- and increasingly rough -- dealers takes over Pusher Street. Then, when two police officers are shot, an intense manhunt begins... and Bjarne is brought back into the fold.

After three killings in three years, Christianites launch a movement to permanently close Pusher Street, which gains momentum --, and eventually sees major changes that make the street safe once again.
