As the new summer mining season begins, gold in Nome is drying up, pushing miners to extreme new locations in a desperate search for gold.

The miners of Nome continue their search for new gold. Whilst Zeke and Emily head to Sledge Island, Shawn continues his dreams of gold at the Bluff.

Desperate to find new gold, Shawn pushes himself, and his equipment to the limit. At Sledge Island, the deeper water triggers dangerous side effects for Zeke.

Shawn's obsession with the bluff hits breaking point. Zeke and Emily take a last trip to Sledge Island, and novice George Young seeks riches on the Bering Sea floor.

Halfway through the season, Shawn needs massive gold at the Bluff or his empire faces ruin. After the debacle at Sledge Island, Zeke, and Emily reach breaking point.

At the mouth of the Penny River, Emily saves Zeke from a generator fire, and Kris strikes a devil's bargain with the last willing claim owner in Nome.

Injured Shawn relies on his crew and the murky Bering Sea to salvage the empire. Toxic fumes threaten more than Zeke and Emily's season, and George has his final dive.

The Pomrenkes battle land and sea to vie for a new gold-rich mining ground. Meanwhile, Kris has one last chance to prove his captaincy, and mining skills.
