After a hapless weekend, Toby and Tom return to London to face a host of romantic problems.

Tom decides he cannot have his father staying with him any longer, but Toby also has other things on his mind.

Toby makes use of a deputising service to enjoy a night off. Tom has problems with the landlord of his surgery - his ex-wife Helen.

When Toby discovers that his secretary Madeline is still seeing Tom, she has to choose between romance and her job.

Despite their differing views, Tom comes to accept Toby's belief that there are times when knowing the right people can be useful.

After a meeting an old friend, Toby decides to return to his estranged wife Angela. But are his reasons for a reconciliation strictly honourable?
