Burned out and broke, former big-league pitcher Kenny Powers returns home to North Carolina to teach PE at the local middle school he once attended.
Chapter 2To avoid selling his beloved jet ski, Kenny looks to score some extra cash by pitching himself as spokesman for a local car dealership.
Chapter 3Kenny enlists the fawning Stevie to be his personal assistant. Meanwhile, Dustin's wife, Cassie, offers to sell Kenny's baseball memorabilia on eBay, while Kenny gets serious about getting in shape by any means possible.
Chapter 4Kenny looks to rekindle an old flame at a barbecue hosted by April and Cutler. Stevie cuts a greatest hits DVD for his favourite ballplayer in hopes of getting Kenny a big-league tryout.
Chapter 5Kenny decides to give up his comeback dreams and move on as a working stiff, but his resolve is tested by an arrogant car dealer and his new pet celebrity.
Chapter 6Kenny says goodbye to his life as a schoolteacher — and bids farewell to Dustin and his family — after scoring a big-league job offer in Tampa.

- After substance abuse and insanely self-destructive and obnoxious behaviour throw a knuckle ball at his Major League Baseball career, former pitcher Kenny Powers retreats to his North Carolina hometown, where he takes a job teaching physical education at the middle school he once attended. But another chance at potential big league stardom - or so he thinks - takes Kenny further down, to Mexico way, where he thrills the locals as only he can before he returns to the US a changed man. Or is he? The colourful and frequently profane sitcom comes from executive producers Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, among others, and stars Danny McBride (`Tropic Thunder').
