At Home Poland, The Wait

Directed by: Jerzy Skolimowski. The virus found me in Sicily where I was shooting my new movie. It enabled me to witness the Italian tragedy and the Italian heroism. And the glorious Sicilian spring.

The situation we've found ourselves in because of the pandemic feels like being in the desert. For me, it's the time to meet oneself – filter your memory, rewind home video tapes and register your inner seismic tremors.

Directed by: Renata Gasiorowska. It's a film that reveals how much more we have locked ourselves down in our bubbles, even though we have so many ways to communicate remotely.

Directed by: Jacek Borcuch. Today, when I know what has come out of it, I can say that making my short movie, I immersed myself into Here and Now, or rather There and Then. After all, it's been nearly three months.

Directed by: Jan P. Matuszynski. Waiting in pandemic times is special. Everyone experiences it differently. Meanwhile, we were waiting... for something else.

Directed by: Xawery Żulawski. Lockdown – the time of retreat to your inner self – everything online becomes an illusion. Which reality is real?

Directed by: Pawel Lozinski. The passage of time during the pandemic has grown to become my character. The world froze, together with the camera on my balcony.

Directed by: Mariusz Trelinski. I've been fascinated by the polyphony of artists. I can't recall a time where we would step up together. It's extremely rare in our country. We are natural soloists, and then suddenly, tutti voice is heard.

Malgorzata Szumowska & Michal Englert. First thing that crosses my mind... restrictions, also in our field of vision. Staying at home, we only see a narrow slice of reality, but we long to see much more.

Directed by: Krzysztof Garbaczewski. Working in the garden, you notice that time is not linear; it tends to make everything unreal and makes you resemble a virtual snail carrying a spiral house on its back.

Directed by: Magnus von Horn. Lockdown challenged relationships, families, patience and love. I wanted to capture the feeling that while we try to protect ourselves from the virus, we get infected by something else.

Directed by: Anna Zamecka & Sung Rae Cho. Locked down at home during compulsory quarantine, we were struggling with understanding and describing what is going on, with capturing the reality of events.

Directed by: Andrzej Dragan. I like anxiety; I like construing and watching it. Which is why, creating something in these unusual times when compulsory anxiety is experienced by the entire humankind seemed to be particularly interesting to me.

Directed by: Tomek Popakul. On the one hand, it's apocalypse, and on the other, it feels like any other day. Something bizarre is throbbing on an invisible layer.
