Mr Bean: The Animated Series, Sample Sale

Mr Bean and Teddy have no plans, so decide to stay in bed all day. Mr Bean is determined that his feet can’t touch the ground, so he pushes the bed around with a broom. He has to find ingenious ways to make his tea and toast for breakfast, brush his teeth and an even bigger challenge of ordering a pizza and collecting it from downstairs without getting out of bed!

After seeing the flashy electric go-kart Mr Paliwal has bought for his daughter Divya, Mr Bean and Billy build their own using items around Mrs Wicket’s garden. At the go-kart track, Mr Bean and Mr Paliwal are unimpressed with Billy and Divya’s driving skills so take the karts for a “proper” race around the park. Meanwhile Mrs Wicket is on the warpath when she finds things missing from her house.

Mr Bean and Teddy head to the bowling alley with a free voucher, but Mr Bean finds it a lot harder than he expected. Seeing a little girl with a smaller ball, he borrows it, thinking it will be easier to use. But instead, he gets his fingers stuck in the ball and he causes havoc trying to pull them out.

Mr Bean is at a farmers’ market with Irma at her knitwear stall – right next to a man selling novelty teapots. Bean is instantly smitten with a green car-shaped one but can’t afford it. When he visits a food truck that’s laid out free samples, he hatches a plan to swipe them and sell them on his own stall so he can raise the cash for the teapot of his dreams!

Mr Bean is watching Clint Chiseljaw - his favourite action TV show - with Billy, but Mrs Wicket orders her nephew downstairs to finish his chores. Inspired by Clint’s catchphrase – “Nobody gets left behind”, Mr Bean tries a variety of different daring plans to break Billy out of Mrs Wicket’s flat. But none of them work, until he hits on the perfect plan… or so he thinks!

Mr Bean peers through the window of the opening party of an art exhibition and sees free snacks being handed around – yum! But he’s told by the bouncer that he needs to be smartly dressed. So he sneaks into the artist’s studio and paints a tuxedo onto himself. This time he’s let in, but will Bean’s fake painted suit last long enough for him to get his free food?

Mr Bean is trying to watch the motor racing on TV, when Mrs Wicket interrupts him to offer a deal – revamp her garden with new paving and ornaments, and he’ll get a month’s rent for free. Bean reluctantly agrees, but when he sees Mr Paliwal finish a personal training session and keen for more, he offers him a new workout… doing all Mr Bean’s work for him while he watches the racing! Win, win!

Mr Bean is bored of queuing for a trampoline park, so secretly bounces in through a window using a trampette. But he soon gets on the wrong side of a young show-off boy who keeps stealing Teddy and throwing him in hard-to-reach spots. To settle their row, they agree on a race around the trampoline park – first place wins Teddy. Will Mr Bean triumph before he’s chucked out for jumping the queue?

Irma is struggling to sell items from her knitwear stall at the market, so sends Mr Bean to collect a sheep costume he can wear to attract customers. Once at the fancy dress shop however, Mr Bean gets stuck in the sheep costume and has to travel back to the market wearing it. Things go from bad to worse when Mr Bean takes a short cut across the field and gets caught up in a flock of real sheep!

Mr Bean spots a rare book - the Teddy Bear Haunting - in a bookshop, but it’s too expensive to buy. He secretly tries to read it in the shop… until he’s thrown out. To his dismay someone else then buys the book – so he follows the buyer around trying to read over his shoulder. Will Mr Bean manage to get to the end of the book before getting spotted?

Mr Bean and Teddy are enjoying a day at the arcade, when Mr Bean gets carried away with the dance machine, knocking Teddy onto the floor. Teddy’s picked up, put on a trolley of stuffed toys and figurines – and soon enough, he’s been put in the claw machine as a prize! Mr Bean has run out of coins, so has to find a way of winning Teddy back without looking like he’s cheating!

Mr Bean and Teddy are looking forward to seeing a once-in-a-lifetime comet – but it won’t appear until 4am! He tries to stay up, but it’s useless – he keeps dropping off. So instead, Mr Bean decides to go to bed and set an alarm – yet he over-winds the clock and it breaks! With all the shops closed, his only option is to build his own complicated version to make sure he doesn’t miss the comet…

Mrs Wicket makes Mr Bean drive her to the hospital to get her ingrown toenail seen to and asks him to wait. Mr Bean gets bored, and on a wander around the hospital he finds a spare doctor’s outfit with stethoscope – great Teddy - I’ll give you a check-up! But a nurse spots him, and thinking he’s a new doctor Mr Bean is asked to visit patients. How long can he keep it up before he’s found out?

Mr Bean is at the supermarket when he spots a cool fire engine ride – but the security guard makes it clear it’s for little kids only. Not to be deterred, Mr Bean tries everything he can to distract the guard to have his go on the ride. When he finally does get his go, it’s not as good as he thought it would be, especially when a real fire engine has to be called to help Mr Bean!

Mr Bean receives a delivery of a bunch of flowers for Mrs Wicket, but accidentally runs them over in the his car. He can’t afford to replace them, so he decides to recreate the bunch by taking flowers one by one from anywhere he can - a vase in a café, a wedding bouquet, even from between the teeth of a tango dancer! But will he assemble the bunch and be back in time for Mrs Wicket?

Mr Bean gets so engrossed playing with Mr Paliwal’s new drone that he doesn’t notice a car thief stealing his car. They quickly jump into Mr Paliwal’s car and use the drone to track the stolen car to the thief’s warehouse hideout. Using the drone, they discover a criminal car-stealing operation – but will they be able to outwit the car thieves using Mr Paliwal’s flying gadget?

Irma is dragging a very bored Mr Bean around a shopping centre when he spots a competition for Minty Mints – pull your silliest face for a photo and win a cash prize! Mr Bean tries to queue but it’s too long - so he persuades Irma to visit a photo studio offering romantic photoshoots. Can Mr Bean get away with pulling funny faces and submit the photo to the Minty Mints people without Irma knowing?

When Scrapper claws a rip in Teddy, Mr Bean rushes him to the Teddy hospital. As Teddy is being fixed, Mr Bean is rather taken with another Ted on sale in the shop. He decided to take Big Ted home with him once Teddy is fixed. But at home it seems as though Big Ted is freezing Teddy out, and after a particularly terrifying nightmare, Mr Bean realises he has to get rid of his new guest.

Mr Bean takes Billy to a climbing centre but gets annoyed by a competitive dad who accuses him of being a beginner. Mr Bean insists he’s an expert but is made to prove it when they both compete for a trophy – the winner being the first to climb “The Big One”, a huge, scary wall for adults only! Mr Bean is determined to win but hadn’t counted on the competitive dad’s dirty tricks!

Mr Bean is waiting for Irma at the park for a picnic, when he sees a nervous man rehearsing an engagement proposal to his girlfriend. Mr Bean tries to show him how it’s done but manages to send the engagement ring flying! It lands in a bicycle basket, gets flicked into a pram, flung onto an ice cream - Mr Bean has to chase it around the park as it keeps being launched from place to place, in the hope he can save the day!

Mr Bean is under strict instructions to water Mr Paliwal’s precious plant once a day while he’s on holiday. It’s all going fine, and Mr Bean is enjoying playing with his neighbour’s gadgets while he’s away. However, one day he forgets his task and has to let himself in late at night – but Mr Bean’s other neighbour, Bruiser, spots the suspicious activity, and thinks Mr Paliwal’s got a burglar!

Mr Bean is dismayed to find that the bin men are refusing to take his wheelie bin because the lid won’t shut as it’s too full of rubbish – and by the time he’s shut it, they’ve gone! So he sneaks the bin in front of other houses, hoping they won’t notice and pick it up. Meanwhile, Mrs Wicket realises that her purse has ended up in the rubbish, and is chasing Mr Bean… who is chasing the bin men!

Mr Bean drops Irma off at the airport – she and Lottie are going on a lovely sunny holiday without them. To cheer Teddy up, Mr Bean has a brainwave - don’t worry, we’ll have a holiday right here at home! So Mr Bean goes about recreating all the things he saw in Irma’s brochure – a flight on an Bean Airways and a stay at Hotel Bean with sea view and a pool! Hope Irma is having a great time too…

At a funfair, Mr Bean wins a balloon for Teddy and ties it to him while he plays on the hook a duck. But he’s so engrossed he doesn’t notice his companion floating away! Soon Mr Bean is chasing Teddy as he glides and snags on various fairground rides. Will Mr Bean rescue Teddy before he floats away forever?

Mrs Wicket has just inherited an antique grandfather clock – Mr Bean is impressed! But he soon starts to resent it when it bongs loudly on the hour all through the night. Desperate for sleep as dawn is breaking, he fiddles inside the clock, only for it to fall apart and onto the floor! Can he get the bulky heirloom to a repair shop and back before Mrs Wicket wakes up?

In the run-up to a fundraising event for the Donkey Sanctuary, Irma realises she doesn’t have a posh dress, so Mr Bean goes to buy one for her. However, all the dresses are very expensive – but he comes up with a plan. He can buy a dress, then return it after the event provided it still has the label attached. Can Mr Bean protect the dress without Irma realising what he’s doing?
