Each day we assume life will go along just as we planned, until it suddenly and comically doesn't. Unanticipated failures, schemes going sideways, good intentions gone wrong — life is most entertaining when nothing goes according to plan.

Life is full of awkward, embarrassing, cringe-worthy fails, flubs, and faux pas that we would all prefer to forget. But you can't bury the memory and pretend your most mortifying moment never happened when the camera catches it all.

The all-seeing eye of the doorbell camera is more than just a nosy voyeur spying on our every move. When friends, neighbours, and strangers talk to the camera, it becomes an interactive tool for comedic communication. These people have something to say.

It used to be that children's behaviour and parental failures were kept private. But when your own house is recording everything, moments of panic, disbelief, amazement, and embarrassment get put on display, as children and parents drive each other crazy.

Ah, romance. Relationships may begin with flowers, moonlit strolls, and grand romantic gestures, but now that the cameras are always watching, we get to see what life as a couple is really like once the honeymoon is over.

Ideas that seemed good at the time. Practical jokes with unexpected results. Best intentions gone awry. No matter how well you prepare, not everything turns out as expected. The best laid plans can and do go hilariously wrong when your house is watching.

The strange, the silly, the downright bizarre. Doubletakes, head-scratchers, and things that make you go, “Huh?!” When the unusual is caught on camera, be prepared for anything.

Some things just can't be anticipated, and when the unexpected happens, we often wish someone had caught it on camera. Now our houses do. From unusual encounters to sudden shocks and funny freakouts, these people were caught by surprise and scared silly.

A split second here. Some poor judgment there. With Near misses, close shaves, and averted disasters, sometimes the line between comedy and tragedy is pretty thin. The funny moments that were caught on these cameras could have turned out much worse.
