Water!After learning that billions of plastic water bottles are used around the world every day, Paddy and Ynez decide to decorate refillable bottles and use them instead.
StrawsLogey is horrified to find Ynez drinking from a plastic straw and explains how dangerous they can be for sea creatures. So Paddy and Ynez embark on an experiment to find alternatives. Which is best - metal, glass, paper or no straw at all?
Beach CleanReis and Ynez head to the Norfolk coast to take part in a beach clean, run by the Marine Conservation Society. They meet Shel, who shows them some of the strange, serious and downright curious things that have found their way onto the beach.
Plastic BagsTo limit the use of plastic bags, Paddy shows Ynez how to make a reusable bag out of an old t-shirt.
MicroplasticsPaddy sorts through some old household cleaners and cosmetics, so he can get rid of any that contain microplastics, tiny pieces of plastic that get washed down the drains and end up in our oceans.
Seal SanctuaryReis visits Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and meets some of the seals that were rescued from the North Sea. He learns how they were injured by plastics that found their way into the sea, and how the sanctuary care for the seals until they can be released back into the wild.
Barrier ReefAfter discovering the beauty of coral reefs, Paddy and Ynez talk to the Marine Conservation Society about the damage caused by pollution, microplastics and climate change.
Plastic FreeYnez decides that when she grows up she's going to live plastic-free - and she wants to make a start right now. Reis visits a food shop that doesn't use any plastic packaging and shows us his mum's handy tip for storing vegetables without using plastic.
Henderson IslandPaddy has an old pair of flip-flops he doesn't want any more, but he can't find a way to dispose of them safely. When Logey tells him about Henderson Island, an island in the South Pacific inundated with plastics carelessly thrown away, Paddy decides to make his old flip-flops into something new.
BiodegradableAfter sorting through his recycling, Paddy looks at the work that inventors are doing around the world to develop alternatives to single-use plastics. Are biodegradable plastics all they're cracked up to be?
Turtle SanctuaryYnez is dreaming about going on holiday, swimming in the clear blue sea and all that lovely golden sand. But after paying a visit to a turtle sanctuary in Italy, Paddy and Ynez discover that beautiful beaches and sea creatures are being threatened by the way we use and dispose of plastics.
