Newcomer, Neil Wilkinson Jnr., abseils down a deadly mineshaft in search of cubic fluorite, while Jarrin, and Hugh take the plunge into frigid waters, sieving and sniping for Tasmanian sapphire.

The Rubyvale Boys help a neighbour in need for a cut of the sapphire spoils. Tom heads to the Tasmanian mountains in search of meteorite-impact glass. Patrick Gundersen battles steep slopes and dense bush to reach old timers' aquamarine diggings.

Desperate to hit their monster season target, Patrick and Kirsty revisit a 15-year-old ocean kyanite dig site. Kyle and Glenn must bring in reinforcements, and pivot from quartz to black agate for any hope of reaching their massive dig target.
