Tom's accommodation problems force him to book into the Royal Hotel - where his father is already staying.

Tom disagrees with Toby's assumption that he will be moving into his son's flat when the fire-damage is repaired.

Toby's plan to move out of the Royal Hotel strains relations with Tom - until a common foe appears.

Tom is lonely in his new luxury flat and sees this as ideal time to try to reunite his mother and father.
